Re: The Main Hall

As his descending attack met the homunculus's solid defensive positioning and guard, Jin used his free foot to promptly kick off that barrier so he would be landing a dozen feet away. This swift escape gained him space and time, providing an extremely good opportunity to charge his attack: a big sword-shaped icicle that would support his next rush.
The Hishouken flew at extremely low speed while Jin recovered his stance and made another icicle to propel himself on while the projectile in front of him accelerated. That defense would maybe crumple before the ice sword, and Jin's Musou Senshouzan executed in a row. A being so simple as that one couldn't be powerful enough to pose a threat, or was it? At least Jin Kisaragi's senses didn't tell him so.

Parting the claw-hands in the next choice of action, using the tips of the hands, he shot off short particles of the xanthos energy with the four of his extended hands. Taking his opportunity to launch himself to the right with use of the other two of these rigid devices that he'd planted in the ground the previous moment; this opportunity would only serve as a means to move him from the danger of the attack.

"Kurohie" the attack was a simple attack in nature, but as he swiped his ars armagus in Jin's direction, coming silently from one of the pillars had gone to point while let the attack come...would the ex-major notice? He was certain that he would, he expected more from the supposed original Jin. His armagus was returned to its sheath, as he prepped for an Iai-style attack; this would become his favor as soon as that chance came.

As his charging combined strike failed to hit the homunculus, another attack came from nowhere. As he was sliding on the ground in the momentum of his previous attack, he had no option for dodging, so he just blocked the incoming attack with Yukianesa. So they were going two-on-one against him? Jin hopped away as soon as his sword clashed with his newly-arrived enemy, facing him only to see... himself?
A mimic, a wannabe, a mirror image, a clone, what was it already? The Librarium really had nothing else to do than bother him with such things? They dare imitate my form? They have to be put back down to earth.
Noticing the "other him"'s readied stance, Jin himself prepared to get a bit more serious...

The Homunculus assessed the slight damage that had been taken from the blow, but simply considered it had been minimal, almost nonexistent. Spreading the six claw-hands wide, he prepared himself to attack the intruder once again, he was poised for a new assault; before viewing a raised hand from the new stranger. He wanted him to...desist?

Lowering the raised hand from sight of the homunculus he clarified two simple matters in the next motion. "Go away, homunculus, I will take care of this...I am the true Jin." the words were spoken, almost smugly as he grabbed the edge of his armagus and unsheathed the blade at blinding speed, unleashing a small wave of four ice shards towards Jin's direction. The black ice blades would prove to be if anything, almost as effective as Yukianesa to a small degree. However it did not matter, since this weak distraction was but a ploy. Since the jin-double had already resheathed his blade and crouched into a low stance; this was the true planned attack he was preparing.

"A second Jin?" thought Tsuneo, watching from behind a pillar and a single balcony above the area in which the three were fighting. He hid, observing the ice that was flung towards one another. "Why would there be a second one?"

He watched the two Jins and their similar fighting styles duke it out a bit. This was not something that he knew of. The two looked very similar; so much so that he had slight problems distinguishing the two from one another. After all, with similar attacks and such any would be fooled.

"So the NOL doesn't tell us everything. No matter. As long as I am not ordered to attack, I shall just stay here and away from those two. Rather not this be my last day, considering these super-humans and their killing power."

Tsuneo knew Jin's power. After all, he had seen him fight, or rather destroy the enemies during the civil war; more than any other soldier in the battlefield. It was not a shock to Tsuneo when Jin received the title of 'Hero'. After all, he deserved it more than anyone else.

"The true Jin"? Uncontent with copying his physical aspect, that double even believed to be him? The NOL truly had dubious tastes to the deepest bottom of themselves... Seeing this double was a bit of a shock, but it was also a major source of hate. Hazama is truly messing with things he can't handle. If that clone is that much of an imitation, it'll bite him in the ass. Though, there was no doubt in that the technical similarity was astounding: the clone even mimicked his trademark Hishouken, and as Jin guessed, more was to come.
"The true Jin?"
Jin took a readied stance as the four black shards closed in on him. "Then explain this: Nox Nyctores Yukianesa, activate!" As he said his words, an icy aura froze the air close to him, and shattered the black ice blades before its sheer power. As he didn't want that fight to last, he quickly launched his own flurry of three ice swords in a row, before dashing himself, ready to slash whatever was in his way to his wannabe-him opponent.

Effectively removed from the focus of his duty to defend the hall, the homunculus had to but look, he was ordered to stand down and even though the system was operating; he had no purpose here. Thus he retreated until needed again later on.

He smiled coldly at the prospect of Jin's dash and his attacks, this was what he craved, the action only suited to his test; he would crush Jin at his full strength now! There was no truer cause that would sate the desires that burned within him. Taking moment to slice something of a large ice pillar before him; the black ice was suited to its duty as a walled defense. It was fitting to the mode of his attack, this which had no name would be his delivering strike.

"Behold!" was the only choice of words which lit the path as he leapt onto the pillar's side and sliced its pace from his new mount; using the falling momentum and the size of the pillar (about the size of two men, very thin) to drop onto his target. It was aimed either way to give him the advantage: be that attack or evasion.

Seeing the pillar descending on him, Jin thought quickly: he had no choice but to strike with focus and deliver a swift vertical rotating slash with Yukianesa. While elegant, the attack was still effective enough to hit the mimic's own attack and earn some time. But, not willing to let his double in for another attack preparation, Jin quickly changed his grip and spin, going a bit forward on a left spin and swinging the icy blue sword fiercely in a wide horizontal circular motion, with enough force in it to either for whatever might come across to get slashed or sent away a good distance. The aim with this strike was to actually deal damage the foe, but rather avoiding to get hit by forcing Ijari to block it upon landing.
Jin's was not known for being patient, and the contempt for this whole clone farce was growing on his nerves slowly but surely. The desire to end this quick was creeping into his mind.

The tactic was sound, most effective with forcing a reaction from Ijari, he brought the Armagus outward and blocked the attack with the flat of his sword; drawing the blade out partway an managing a precision block. Though even as he let the momentum shoot him back while raising his knees, it was done with an unnatural grace; his body twisting in mid motion before landing in a wide legged stance. He was low to the ground and had sheathed the blade once more.

"Come...you can do more." he taunted his true other, while in find Iai fashion, would Jin charge in further? He had a particular skill that he would try to employ; something that would allow him to handle even the original with his Nox Nyctores. The icy aura around building around both him and the blade, it seemed to be suited to his tactics.

As the "other him" was taking a readied stance, Jin got his reaction fast and good: taking him out from afar and forcing him to be on the move was the best solution. He grinned at the double's taunt: he was craving for death, really twisted as Relius or Terumi could be...
"Foolish.", the false Hero said as he planted Yukianesa in the ground, making a big sword-shaped ice pillar rise off the ground, right at his foot; but then it was followed by another one at its side, and another one, making a trail directed to Ijari. That would force him to jump, and watch where he would land if ever he intended to jump right to Jin's face.

As Ijari hopped to the side, he twisted his body in mid-motion, while moving away from the large blade of ice; it had disrupted his foundation stance and he was fine wit it. While in motion to the right, he'd unsheathed the armagus and carved a dark ice formation; a wall of the black substance built to hinder Jin's sight and to slow his pace forward. Had he been pushed to defense? That was what one might perceive, but it became a simple modification to his original tactic, he was gauging the skill of Jin in combat, it certainly lived up to the faith of it, but he felt something was missing. The gauge of the skill he was hiding, he would try this on his other, once he showed his lack of patience.

As Jin saw his impersonator taking a defensive posture by forming a wall of black ice, he smirked at the slight offensive advantage he had gained, and tried to capitalize it by forming an icicle on the ground, and propelling it on the foe's barrier while riding it. Using the momentum to jump over the wall before the icicle crashed, Jin attempted a spinning kick angled downwards, aiming for the clone's skull: hitting at the head may be more advantageous than striking anywhere else.
While at the beginning of the battle, Jin had no interest in being pitted against a clone of him, he started to feel the other side of such a match: he had to come up with new things to take that clone off-guard; else that fight would take too much out of him because the other him sure as hell knew every single move he already came up with, as well as how to perform or counter those.

"As I expected." he said this casually before he deflected the blow from his head, as since he was hidden behind the black ice he had ducked. Using this posture to provide a firm defensive mount, he shoved Jin's kick back from him by pushing up and rising. Following the moment of pushing him off, he unleashed something of a semi-solid black ice wave in Jin's direction, not revealing what it did; but speaking a small attack name. "Glacial vision." the attack name was simple, but he was plotting something yet again.

Damn, that guy knows his shit..., the hero thought as his "clone" just shoved his attack away.
Jin reacted quickly, making a backflip to find balance back in the air before the cold wave went to hit him. Having regained his composure, he just blocked the wave with Yukianesa: since it was only barely solid, the icy sword just dispersed the wave away with no harm.
Maintaining his focus on his foothold, Jin landed on the ground and adopted a firm stance, as well as a tight grip on Yukianesa's scabbard. If the enemy wouldn't be taken out by all-out offense, maybe letting him on the offense would open some opportunities to finish him quickly.

"Cross haze" the attack name was called and sent within the very haste that he took his chance on the assault, sweeping the armagus adjacently across his chest in two sweeps; first the left and then the right. Both attacks merging into a large black ice wave, it was aimed to throw Jin's balance off all but completely; he re-sheathed his blade and seemed to be preparing for a more serious attack, he needed to injure Jin in order to break the seal that seemed to be around them. This evenness would not last unless he could tilt this in his favor.
